These are pictures from our family reunion in Dec. 2004. It was the most fun I have had in a long time. When I
first heard that we were having a family reunion, I immediately had to find out exactly when it was so I could ask off work. I was so excited I couldn’t wait to go.
I called around and read some family e-mails and found out we were having it around Christmas. I started looking for flights to Houston for the lowest price and finally found one. I was tight on income but thanks to mai dad, he helped me out. So
I got mai flight to come a week before Christmas and return a few days after New years. When I arrived to Houston my
uncle picked me up from the airport and first took me to his store and introduced me to mai relatives from Vietnam whom I
have never seen before. I also saw a few of mai other uncles who were working there. Then he took me to his old
house where I saw mai dad and more of mai relatives. I was very surprised at how all of mai cousins changed, they looked
so different from when I last saw them. Everyone was growing up so fast. Things didn't get really interesting
until everyone got there which was right about Christmas. Thats when we had our MAI OLYMPICS. The blue shirts
you see in the pictures are our Olympic shirts. We had competitions in Ping-pong, Tug of war, Rock paper scissors, and
other events. The best part of all was the food. I haven't had an authentic Vietnamese home cooked meal in a long
time. I love food.
